The small foil pack of Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi Turkish coffee - the same finely ground coffee as the larger packs on this shelf, in 100 g. Enough for about sixteen cups by the pack's own measure, which makes it the size to try the brand or to keep a fresh pack open rather than a large one going stale.
Highlights
- 100% Arabica - as printed on the pack, ground for the cezve
- Finely ground - powder-fine, the grind Turkish coffee needs; it is not for a drip machine or a French press
- 3.5 oz (100 g) foil pack - about 16 servings of one teaspoon each
- Packed in a protective atmosphere - sealed until you open it
- Made in Turkiye - produced and packed in Istanbul
How to Brew
Use a cezve, the small long-handled pot. Measure cold water with the demitasse cup you will serve in and pour it into the cezve. Add one teaspoon of coffee per cup, and sugar at this point if you want it. Stir, then set the cezve on a low heat.
When the foam rises, spoon it evenly into the cups, let the coffee heat once more and pour. Do not stir after serving - the grounds settle at the bottom of the cup and are meant to stay there. A glass of water and something sweet alongside is the usual way to serve it.
