How to Make
Cold: stir 2 level tablespoons (25 g) into 200 mL of cold water until dissolved. Hot: stir 3 teaspoons (12.5 g) into 100 mL of hot water, the size of a Turkish tea glass. These are the tin's own directions - add more or less powder to taste.
Use a dry spoon and press the lid back on firmly after each use; the powder takes up moisture from the air and cakes if the tin is left open.
What Is Portakal Aromali Icecek Tozu?
It is Turkish for orange-flavoured drink powder. Like the rosehip version on the same shelf, it is a sweet drink mix - sugar is the first ingredient and the orange taste comes from orange flavouring - drunk cold as a summer refresher or hot in a tea glass in winter, much like a powdered orange drink mix in the US.
